On September 15, President Obama addressed the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. At around 22:30, he incorporated part of the The Declaration of Independence, but removed any reference to the "Creator." After President Obama says "created equal”, there is a long pause during which he scowls and blinks several times. For once, he may actually have opted to not read something that was on the teleprompter. It looks like he is disgusted and decided it would be better not to read what the preamble actually says.
This from a man who said in a 2001 interview on Chicago’s public radio station WBEZ-FM said “the U.S. has suffered from a fundamentally flawed Constitution that does not mandate or allow for redistribution of wealth.”
Obama continues; “If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed people, so that now I would have the right to vote. I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order and as long as I could pay for it I’d be OK.”
“But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn't that radical. It didn't break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it's been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can't do to you. Says what the federal government can't do to you, but doesn't say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf.”
“And that hasn't shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court-focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.”
President Obama, if our Creator is not the purveyor of our rights, then who is? The government?
One comment in Obama’s address that was not commented on by the media was his remark “long before America was even an idea this land of plenty was home to many people, the Dutch and Spanish, the British and French ….”To Mexicans (applause), to countless Indian tribes. We all shared the same land…..”
I would remind the great historian, Barak Hussein Obama that Mexico did not become a nation until 1824. Prior to that is was a territory occupied by Aztec and Mayan tribes, ruled by Spanish conquistadors and the French Army. America was discovered, colonized and attain its independence long before that. Oh what a web of lies this man gets away with.
It didn’t take long for the George Soros-funded empire strikes back. Media Matters rushes to defend Barack Obama's editing of the Declaration of Independence, a story that American Thinker first broke nationally Saturday morning, and which has now spread to other conservative sites, talk radio, but so far no mainstream media.
Media Matters chooses to mock those who noticed, rather than deal with the awkward question of exactly why the President of the United States would balk at noting that our rights come from our Creator, not from the goodwill of the government. That sort of question is to be deflected rather than pondered. That's why Soros pays them, after all.
Today co-anchor Matt Lauer, on Monday morning, couldn't wait to tell viewers about the revelation that Christine O'Donnell once admitted to practicing witchcraft, as he greeted viewers at the top of the very top of the show: "Casting a spell. She's already won her state's Republican Senate primary and captured headlines across the country. Now a video surfaces showing Christine O'Donnell admitting she dabbled in witchcraft as a high schooler." Lauer's colleague Kelly O'Donnell, then went on to dredge up clips from Bill Maher's old Politically Incorrect show as she called the Delaware GOP Senate nominee a "tempest in the Tea Party."
If I recall correctly Samantha the Witch of Bewitched was a very popular television show in the 1960s and 1970s. It would not be odd if teen age girls were into the show.
This is just another example of how the liberal media will attempt to destroy someone they are fearful of and prop up their darling liberals. Let’s look at a few examples.
There was this candidate for the senate seat in Massachusetts who was attending a party at his friend’s house on Chappaquiddick Island. Though married with little children, this stalwart of the liberal media had mistress. After a night of drinking and playing spin the bottle the candidate offered to drive his mistress home or somewhere else to play around. On the way due to his drunkenness he drove the car into the dark waters of Chesapeake Bay. He escaped and ran home while his mistress was left to drown in the cold waters of the bay. Since his name was Teddy Kennedy, a champion of civil rights and the underprivileged he got a pass the rest of his life and went on to become the liberal icon of the Democrat Party.
When Chis Dodd decided to vacate his long held Connecticut senate seat the state’s attorney general Richard Blumenthal decided to run for the seat. Blumenthal, a retired Marine, claimed he had military service in Vietnam. Well it turned out that little Dickey never stepped a foot in Vietnam. He had been telling this lie for years. But, to the liberal media truth and honor mean little. The most popular Democrat today is Bill Clinton, a man with the morals and character of an alley cat.
The second longest senator in the United States senate was Richard Byrd of West Virginia. For year Byrd was a member of the Klu Klux Klan. He was not some misguided West Virginia backwoods hick. Byrd held the titles Kleagle (recruiter) and Exalted Cyclops. When it came time to elect the "Exalted Cyclops," the top officer in the local Klan unit, Byrd won unanimously. In the early 1940s, Byrd recruited 150 of his friends and associates to create a new chapter of the Ku Klux Klan.
In 1944, Byrd wrote to segregationist Mississippi Senator Theodore Bilbo:
“I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.” — Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944.
For years Dickey Byrd received a pass from the liberals and even the NAACP as he was a good liberal even though he filibustered against the 1964 Civil Rights Bill. After all he is a Democrat and we all know the liberal media will not speak negatively of a Democrat even if they reside a Dante’s ninth level of hell.
And finally we come to the greatest deceiver of all, Barak Hussies Obama. Spawned from questionable parentage and educated at an Indonesian madras Obama spent his formative years in Hawaii under the mentorship of Frank Marshall Davis, an avowed communist.
From the tropical breezes of Hawaii Obama moved to the windy city of Chicago. There he tied up with such great Americans as Saul Alinsky (communist community organizer), Bill Ayers and his common law wife Bernadine Dohrn (unedited terrorists) who Obama claimed were just some folks in the neighborhood. In fact Obama began his political career in Ayers’ living room and sat on the board of directors Woods Fund of Chicago with Ayers. Yes, just another fellow in the neighborhood, like Mr. Rodgers.
And finally he sat in the pews of Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s black liberation theology church for twenty years. It was Wright. Obama claims. Who baptized his children and provide him and Michelle spiritual advice. In all those years Obama claims he never heard Wright’s anti American, anti Semitic and anti white race baiting and vitriolic bigotry. When this was brought to light by Sean Hannity of the FNC Obama threw his “spiritual adviser” under the bus.
These are but a few examples of how the media will downplay or give a pass to liberals while people like that sexual disease Bill Maher and his many cohorts in the so called mainstream media will bend over backwards to dig up indiscretions of Tea Party backed conservatives. It’s like Alinsky’s rule No. 5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. In essence demonize your opponent every chance you get but do not let them know your full agenda.
