Left-Wing Radio Hosts' Track Record of Vile and Vicious Rhetoric

"Absolute power corrupts even when exercised for humane purposes. The benevolent despot who sees himself as a shepherd of the people still demands from others the submissiveness of sheep. The taint inherent in absolute power is not its inhumanity but its anti-humanity." --American author Eric Hoffer (1902-1983)

Since late 2007, the Media Research Center has collected numerous examples of the outrageousness of left-wing radio hosts. And, unlike the Left — which attempted to smear Rush Limbaugh with phony quotes — readers can find an audio or video of every one of these quotes posted at their  Web site at: www.MRC.org.
Here are a few examples of left wing vitriol
  • Conservatives Want to Kill Barack Obama: “I really think there are conservative broadcasters in this country who would love to see Obama taken out.” (Ed Schultz)
  • Conservatives Are Terrorists: “Do you not understand that the people you hold up as heroes bombed your goddamn country? Do you not understand that Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly are as complicit of the September 11, 2001 terror attack as any one of the dumbass 15 who came from Saudi Arabia?” (Mike Malloy)
  • Conservative Congresswoman Would Have Liked the Holocaust: “[Representative Michele Bachmann is] a hatemonger. She’s the type of person that would have gladly rounded up the Jews in Germany and shipped them off to death camps....This is an evil bitch from Hell.” (Mike Malloy)
  • Michele Bachmann Should Die: “So, Michele, slit your wrist! Go ahead! I mean, you know, why not? I mean, if you want to — or, you know, do us all a better thing. Move that knife up about two feet. I mean, start right at the collarbone.” (Montel Williams)
  • Rush Limbaugh Should Die: “I’m waiting for the day when I pick up the newspaper or click on the Internet and find that he’s choked to death on his own throat fat, or a great big wad of saliva or something, whatever. Go away, Limbaugh, you make me sick.” (Mike Malloy)
  • That’s who she is. She’s friends with all the teenage boys. You have to say no when your kids go, ‘Can we sleep over the Palin’s?’ No! No!”
  • Randi Rhodes talking about Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, September 12, 2008 Randi Rhodes Show: Now, you don’t believe, gentle listener, that these Free Republic, Limbaugh, Drudge Report suck-heads are not completely mad? They’re completely insane? And you know who is the perfect personification of this madness, is their new darling, Sarah Palin....I can look at Sarah Palin and look at her eyes and see a total collapse of anything that even resembles reality. This is a woman who is absorbing more and more and more of her own life force, if you know what I mean by that. She is eating herself alive. She honestly is starting to believe what the brain-dead teabaggers and birthers and, and — ‘Obama’s health care plan is to murder old people’ — what — the adulation and the praise and the cheering that they heap on this crazy psychopath, when she makes a public speech. And I’m hoping, I’m praying, while I — I don’t pray — while I hope that Rush Limbaugh will choke to death on his own throat fat, I also hope that Sarah Palin will drive herself completely, completely into madness, and I think the possibility truly exists.” Mike Malloy, The Mike Malloy Show, July 28, 2009.

I have listened to conservative talk radio for quite a while. I have never heard such vile, obscene and rude remarks for any of the conservative talkers I have listened to. Conservative hosts such as Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levine, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Andrew Wilkow, David Web and Glen Beck never make remarks such as these nor do they allow their callers to do so. These talk show hosts are under constant surveillance by the pajamas wearing ghouls of the George Soros funded Media Maters. These lonely, little left-wing loons sit in their parents basements monitoring each one of these conservative hosts waiting for them to make a slip. Who monitors the left-wing loons?

If you think I am off base here I suggest you visit a few conservative Blogs or some YouTube posts and look at the comments posted by the left wing or liberals. They are rude, obscene, crass and downright insulting. I am waiting for some left winger to get a view of this Blog to see what nasty comments they will post. They use invective instead of rational arguments. They throw insults instead of facts. When they can’t break your argument they attack your veracity and motives. I suppose this is what they learned in college from the elite academics that tutored them.

They think they are so morally correct they will resort to lies and half truths to make their point. They show absolutely no tolerance for a differing opinion. They think anyone who doesn’t agree with their point of view is an ignorant, uneducated red neck bigot.

I am an unabashed conservative with Libertarian leanings. When I see these obscene and false posts from a left-winger I don’t race to the keyboard and respond with a cogent argument. It would do no good. I simply ignore them and go with my life and post my own views for others to read.

Take as example the case of Timothy McVeigh, the person who was executed for bombing the Oklahoma Federal Building. The left like to bring his name up when they try to defend the actions of Muslim terrorist or those in opposition to the NYC mosque. They claim that he was an intolerant right-wing Christian and this is the reason for his evil actions. They base this on the fact he was in possession of the Turner Diaries.

In fact McVeigh was an atheist and at best agnostic. His motive for placing a truck bomb at the front door of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building was his anger over Janet Reno’s actions at Waco, Texas, Ruby Ridge and what he believed was the excessive power of the Federal Government. He was not a Christian extremist. The folks on the left and their minions in the mainstream media often neglect to make this distinction.

The political and cultural dialogue in this country has become very divisive and toxic. I lived through the McCarthy era, the Vietnam War and Watergate. Never have I seen such crass and obscene language packed with lies and half truth as I see today. This language has polluted our political landscape. For eight years the left vilified George W. Bush at every turn. They called him a liar, a murderer, putty in the hands of big oil and a war monger. They had no reservations against using foul and obscene language to make their views known. I am talking about serious liberals (if there are any) that had rational arguments against Bush’s policies.

Today if you disagree with the policies of the Obama Administration you are branded as a racist, a bigot, a right wing nut, or some sort of phobe. If they cannot break your argument they will attack you motives and integrity. This is not good for our political dialogue or the future of the nation.

I write about this in my book Footsteps on the Land

There is a new book out by David Limbaugh entitled Crimes Against Liberty - check it out.
