It’s Time for Mexico to Act Like a Civilized Nation

On May 28, U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who is being held in a jail in Tijuana for crossing into the country with firearms, appeared before a Mexican judge for what was supposed to be his first evidentiary-type hearing. It wound up being delayed until June 4 because on Wednesday of this week Tahmooressi fired his initial attorney Alejandro Osuna.

On March 31, Tahmooressi was arrested by the Mexican border patrol after he accidentally drove across the San Ysidro checkpoint and into Mexico with his three legally owned guns. It is a crime to knowingly enter Mexico with firearms and ammunition. The sentence can be up to 30 years in prison.

Tahmooressi's arrest has reignited the debate about Mexico's legal system. Based on my conversation with a former State Department official who spent 15 months on the border handling numerous border issues including the arrests of U.S. citizens, the hearing on June 4 will be “very cut and dry.”

The judge will determine basic facts. There will be questions such as did Tahmooressi violate Mexican law by entering the country with guns? Can Tahmooressi read? Can he see? Were the international border signs properly posted, warning that it is illegal to enter Mexico with firearms?

According to a spokesman for Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), the judge will also determine if Tahmooressi really does suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as he has alleged. Mexican prosecutors are apparently conducting an independent psychological analysis. Tahmooressi’s attorney is in possession of his Department of Veteran's Affairs mental health records to prove his claims about his condition.

There is no dispute that Tahmooressi violated Mexico's gun-control laws, even though it was an accident. According to the Mexican Consulate General's website, "Claiming not to know about the law will not get you leniency from a police officer or the judicial system."

But legal procedure is not the only issue in this case. Tahmooressi’s “honest mistake” defense invokes an equally important issue of politics.

According to the former U.S. official, Mexico takes its sovereignty seriously and feels as if the United States does not respect its laws and independence.

For example, the U.S. and Mexico have inherent differences in criminal sentencing. Mexico does not have a death penalty; it views such punishment as cruel and unusual. Texas, on the other hand, does have the death penalty.

At the time Tahmooressi was arrested, Mexico was pleading with Texas not to execute convicted murderer and rapist Ramiro Hernandez, a Mexican citizen. Texas disregarded Mexico’s request and executed Hernandez on April 4th.

The Mexican Foreign Affairs Ministry opposed Texas’ decision, stating, “This is the fourth case of a Mexican being executed in clear violation of the judgment of the International Court of Justice. The Government of Mexico expresses its most vigorous protest at the failure to comply.”

Mexico might be thinking, “You did not listen to us (about Hernandez) so why should we listen to you (about Tahmooressi)? You want us to respect your right to prosecute and punish. Now you must respect our right to prosecute and punish.”

Mexico may also be upset because our agencies and officials have a decades-long pattern of entering its country to fight the War on Drugs without its permission or knowledge.

In the nineties, U.S. Customs agents carried out Operation Casablanca, a money-laundering sting, without Mexico’s knowledge. This operation caused great friction between the two countries. “Casablanca was a hard punch to mutual cooperation and trust because it implied, in some ways, the violation of bilateral and international agreements,'' said then-foreign ministry official Miguel Ruiz Caba Mfas.

According to a report on Fox News Greta Van Susteren, a crusader for the release of Tahmooressi the officer found him guilty of crime from beginning.

This week past week we were reminded of the sacrifices of our military heroes on numerous TV shows. Today we are reminded of by a high-profile story in the news right now. We have an explosive international incident developing over the false imprisonment of a U.S. Marine hero in Mexico. Remarkably, our President and Secretary of State have not even chosen to bring this issue up with Enrique Peña Nieto, the President of Mexico.

I believe the United States would have great leverage in this situation – if we had a real leader running this country. Unfortunately, we have the weak, feckless, neutered, bowing Barack Obama. Our President doesn’t understand American exceptionalism. Our fearful leader doesn’t believe in the greatness of our military. He certainly doesn’t understand what Donald Trump would call “the art of the deal.” It’s time to explain the situation to our southern neighbor. It’s time to make an offer he can’t refuse. This is the letter a real leader of the United States would send to the President of Mexico to rescue a true American hero and patriot, who is languishing in a filthy, dangerous Mexican jail under false pretenses. Here is what I would tell the President Obama if he were to ask me for my advice.

“Dear President Enrique Peña Nieto:

Greetings from the United States of America — you know, the great Nation just above your crime-ridden country, who has taken in millions of your citizens and spent hundreds of billions of dollars in welfare, food stamps, housing allowances, healthcare, education, police and prison costs, free meals at school, and income tax credits on your citizens here in our country illegally. I think you owe it to us to listen to what we have to say.

I write you today because you’re holding one of our citizens hostage in one of the hellholes that you call a federal prison. The citizen you are holding is my Marine. His name is Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi. He is an American hero. During the four years he served in the U.S. Marines, he did two tours in Afghanistan. While on the battlefield, he saved the lives of eight Marines from the Taliban; and in a separate incident he saved a Marine from bleeding to death after that soldier lost both legs from an improvised explosive device explosion. This American hero is now languishing in your prison in Tijuana, Mexico.

What crime did he commit? Murder? Robbery? Kidnapping? Drug smuggling? No those are the things that happen to law-abiding citizens in your country every day. But Tahmooressi didn’t do any of those bad things. He accidentally drove across the border in his own vehicle with three legally owned guns. Yes, that’s his “crime.” Bad driving and getting lost. This American hero entered your country because of poor signage leading to your border outside San Diego (possibly combined with confusion from his post-traumatic stress disorder).

As a result of that honest mistake, my Marine has been under constant death threat from Mexican drug gangs in your prison. Because you can’t control your own violent prisoners, my Marine has been isolated in a filthy prison cell, chained to his bed for weeks. This is called torture, and it is a violation of his civil (and human) rights.

I want to make sure you understand the gravity of this situation. Your Mexican citizens enter our country illegally, and we let them live and work here. Our citizens are kindhearted enough to oppose deportation of millions of your citizens for fear of breaking up their families. We hire your citizens and provide them with a better life than they ever had in Mexico. They send money home to Mexico that keeps your economy afloat. That money comes from our citizens and taxpayers. Even Mexican felons are treated better in our prisons and legal system than they are in your country. That’s why your citizens are willing to die to escape to our country.

Let’s also discuss your military. This U.S. Marine hero made a mistake wandering into your country. But your military has purposely wandered onto U.S. soil many times, which is a violation of U.S. laws. But we have chosen not to arrest your soldiers. We’ve given our neighbors the benefit of the doubt. Is this how you treat us in return?

Let’s review the direct military aid we’ve gifted to your country. Between 2008 and 2011, the Department of Defense gave $428.7 million worth of equipment to Mexican security forces, including planes, Black Hawk helicopters and scanners. Last year alone, we trained more than 3,000 Mexican troops. All this money came from U.S. taxpayers — like Tahmooressi’s parents.

My Marine was armed with three firearms because he has the Constitutional right to own and possess those firearms in the United States. I understand that your country does not have those same rights. That’s too bad for you and your citizens. I’ve noticed that even though you have disarmed your citizens, gun violence is out of control in Mexico. It’s strange how in your “gun-free” country, there are incredible numbers of gun murders. It appears that taking guns away from law-abiding citizens has not worked out very well for your disarmed citizens.

I understand that you have “issues” keeping your citizens from crossing over into our country and keeping drug lords from smuggling drugs into our country. Until now, we have never properly addressed these issues with you. I think that time has come. But we will deal with those issues at a later date. Right now, we have only one issue on the plate. Rest assured, the future of American-Mexican relations depend on the resolution of this issue.

I hope you will consider this a formal (but friendly) request, as one neighbor to another. As the Commander in Chief of Tahmooressi, I’m giving you until 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time tomorrow to return my Marine (along with his truck and weapons) to the U.S. border crossing in San Diego.

I will have the appropriate U.S. officials and military officers waiting there at precisely 5 p.m. to inspect the condition of my Marine and to report his physical and mental condition to me immediately. I expect him to be in perfect health.

If you choose to disregard my simple and reasonable “friendly” request, please be aware that I have already ordered the U.S. Marine Corps commandant at Camp Pendleton to have his 100,000 Marines “stand to” and ready to proceed into Mexico to retrieve my Marine.

One way or another, my Marine is coming home — whether you send him home or we have to come get him. We leave no man behind. If we are forced to retrieve Tahmooressi at great effort and expense to the United States, we will also send you a bill for the $500 million or so we’ve spent on training and equipment for your military since 2008.

I’ll deal with the hundreds of billions of dollars we’ve spent on housing your citizens illegally in the United States at a future date — after this incident has been resolved to my satisfaction.

This is not a threat. This is a promise. I pray, for your sake and for your citizens’ safety, that you choose to do the right thing, neighbor. But know one thing: One way or another, my Marine is coming home by tomorrow evening at 5 p.m.

No doubt this letter will never be sent by our sitting President. Remember President James Madison went to war in 1812 with the greatest power in the world over British attempts to restrict U.S. trade and the Royal Navy’s impressment of American seamen. It’s about time for President Obama to step up the plate and protect not only his citizens, but those who he commands.

A Note to John McCain and the Gang of Eight

Last Wednesday, police in Austin arrested two Mexican nationals who reportedly participated in the gang-rape of a 13-year-old girl on June 29.

The girl, a runaway, who lives at the Settlement Home for Children, was picked up by three Latino men and driven to the Avalon Arms apartments, where she was raped by a large group of men for several hours, according to police.

As many as 13 men took turns sexually assaulting the girl. Many cheered and filmed the sickening crime on their cell phones, according to court documents.

Juan Lozano Ortega, 25, and Edgar Gerardo Guzman Perez, 26, have been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child. Both are currently being held in the Travis County Jail on immigration detainers.

Austin’s KTBC, Channel 7 reported:

“The affidavit states the assault lasted until early into the morning of June 30, then the victim was driven to a nearby neighborhood and told to "find somewhere to go."

Police say they were able to track Ortega and Perez from the phone call the girl made to her foster brother with their cell phone. She was able to make it back on her own to the settlement home.”

The teen victim told police she was taken inside an apartment, where Ortega forced himself on her as the other men cheered him on, recording the assault on their cell phones. All the men took turns having sex with her against her will.

The girl was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors determined her injuries were consistent with her allegations. Austin police are currently searching for the other assailants.

Illegal aliens are leaving a trail of victims from coast to coast – a massive crime wave that most Americans don’t know about – because the media typically plays it down. And so frequently the victims are children or involve children – thanks to a perverse Mexican culture that virtually ensures the victimization of the young.

I doubt they will be deported. They will be given a fair trial and take up two more spaces in our already over-crowded prison system. There, they will be given three squares, water, shelter, a gym membership, reunions with their friends and family members, crafting activities, counseling and a free education. In no time, they will be deemed "rehabilitated", apply for and receive amnesty and be released back into our society. They will have it made in the shade while this poor child's life is in ruins.

There is yet another example of an illegal killing a mother of a 13-year old for denying his sex with the child. This one happened on April 4, 2013 in Aquila, AZ, 45 miles Northwest of Phoenix.

Authorities say the suspect, 25-year-old Jose Zarate, went to 31-year-old Maria Saucedo’s home around 9:30 p.m. Zarate reportedly wanted to take Saucedo’s 13-year old daughter to his home, presumably for sex. When she refused, an argument ensued and Zarate pulled out a rifle and shot her in the chest at close range — in the presence of the teen.

According to the MCSO, “One of several witnesses to the crime apparently disarmed Zarate before he fled the area on foot.” When they arrived at the scene, deputies administered CPR on Saucedo, but she was later pronounced dead.

“How awful this is that a mother loses her life in the process of defending her daughter’s honor,” said Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Within 24 hours, deputies arrested Zarate. He was found at his home.

The Fox 10 Phoenix report of the crime showed the apparent effects of the Associated Press ban on the term “illegal immigrant” just 24 hours earlier. Fox 10 reported that: “Sheriff’s deputies say Zarate is a non-U.S. citizen who has been living in the country without proper authorization.”

For a more detailed account you need to go to the Daily Mail where they are not afraid to use the term “illegal alien” like the most of the U.S. media.

In other words Zarate is an illegal alien invader. So why not just say that? We don’t want to “stigmatize” illegal alien pedophile murderers?

Zarate was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on the following charges: 2nd degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person (an illegal).

This was just the latest crime involving underage children by an illegal alien. America has been savaged by illegal alien pedophile crimes. Why? Because the sick culture of Mexico, which disgustingly has a minimal age of consent for sex of TWELVE, and rarely prosecutes child rapes of even younger than that. Punishments for rape and sexual assaults are just minor slaps on the wrist. Many times the rapist just has to pay a small fine or sit in jail for a day. And if they marry the victim, they are completely let off the hook.

When we permit hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who reflect this sick culture to invade America we shouldn’t be surprised when there is a trail of victims from coast to coast.

In another case police in Barstow arrested Jose Luis Aguilar, 36, at a Greyhound bus station after he reportedly sexually assaulted and beat his girlfriend's baby daughter to death.

A day earlier, the baby's mother, Jennifer Reedy, 31, awoke to find her daughter lying dead in her crib.

Aguilar was gone, as was Reedy's car and money from her purse.

Police were able to find Aguilar using the GPS in his cellphone. At a press conference Benton County prosecutor Andy Miller, told reporters: "It appears that Mr. Aguilar was on his way to flee to Mexico." [Source: Washington Examiner June 12, 2013]

An then there is the case in Omaha, Nebraska where A 19-year-old accused of beating and raping an elderly woman who later died will now face a murder charge.

Prosecutors said Sergio Martinez-Perez beat and sexually assaulted 93-year-old Louise Sollowin in her home Sunday. Sollowin died Wednesday, June 24^th.

Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine on Thursday said Martinez-Perez will be charged with first-degree murder.

Autopsy results showed that Sollowin's cause of death was blunt force trauma.

Martinez-Perez, who already faces charges of first-degree sexual assault, first-degree assault and burglary, is set to appear before a judge Friday to be arraigned on the new charge. [Source: KETV, Channel 7, Omaha]

Illegal alien child rapists continue their unchecked rampage across America, while politicians in both parties refuse to secure the border, and plot to legalize these criminals instead.

When we permit hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who reflect this sick culture to invade America we shouldn’t be surprised when there is a trail of victims from coast to coast. But instead of securing the border to stop it, politicians in both parties are working right now to legalize them instead.

These crimes perpetrated by illegals (usually from Mexico) are committed on a daily basis across the United States. If you doubt me I challenge you to watch your local TV news at 11:00 pm each night for a week. You will see reports of murder, sexual assault, home invasion, child abduction, and gang shootings almost on a nightly basis. Pay attention to the neighborhoods where these crimes happen and who the reporter in interviewing. If you can’t see a pattern you are suffering from conative dissidence.

According to a 2006 report by World Net Daily:

“Schurman-Kauflin, who runs the Violent Crimes Institute in Atlanta, participated in a 12-month, in-depth study of illegal immigrants who committed sex crimes and murders from January 1999 through April 2006. The study found approximately 240,000 illegal-immigrant sex offenders reside in the United States — while 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sexual offenders come across U.S. borders illegally every day.” [emphasis added]

Schurman-Kauflin said, “Gang rapes by illegal immigrants appear to be gang related. Many of the cases I reviewed involved gang members. As part of being a cohesive group, they offend together. Inflicting brutal gang rapes brings them closer together as a group. It is a way to demonstrate their power. And it sends a message to anyone who dares to cross them.”

Where are the race hustlers and amnesty apologists when it comes to these cases? Where are La Raza, MEChA, and MALDEF in defending the rights of these little girls? Where is President Obama, Cecilia Muñoz (the past president of La Raza and now Director of the Domestic Policy Council, for the White House and the person behind Obama’s immigration reform), and Luis Gutiérrez the Illinois Congressman and apologist for illegals and the crimes they commit. Where is the Congressional Hispanic Caucus? None of these people or organizations are speaking for these victims. They prefer to make excuses for or ignore the perpetrators of these heinous acts as they run counter to their agenda.

Obama and his race hustling buddies in the media can go around touting Trayvon Martin and how his civil rights were violated but can’t seem to find the time to expose the myriad of crimes committed on a daily basis by illegal immigrants.

Perhaps John McCain and his gang of eight compadres should pay closer attention to the victims of these crimes and less effort on trying to gin up the votes from the Hispanic community.

There needs to be as much emphasis on stories like this as we move closer and close to so-called comprehensive immigration reform.

Are We Fighting The Wong War?

Last week the Taliban in Afghanistan downed a US Chinook helicopter carrying 25 navy SEALs and 7 other Afghan security forces with a two or three hundred dollar rocket propelled grenade launcher (RPG). This was the same type of weapon used by the Somalian war lords in Mogadishu to bring down two Black Hawk helicopters. This was the largest loss of American lives in the past two years in this unending war against 11^th century tribal Muslims. A war that seems unwinnable — a war with no real defined mission for success except the killing of suspected terrorists.

U.S. military authorities are referring to the downing of the helicopter used by U.S. Special Forces as a one-off incident. While that may be the case, the downing of a U.S. military helicopter, with as many as 25 members of the Navy SEALs aboard it, will be a source of emboldenment for the Taliban. Should the Taliban be able to reproduce this incident in the future, it will enhance its position on the battlefield as well as the negotiating table.

A Pentagon spokesperson described the incident as a one-off incident and cautioned against reading too much into it and said that this did not constitute “a watershed or a new trend.” Indeed, the available evidence does suggest that the Taliban militiamen got lucky in this particular incident in the province of Wardak in central Afghanistan, when a team of Navy SEALs tried to rescue rangers who were pinned down in a firefight with the jihadist militiamen.

Even though the Taliban may have gotten lucky this time around, they will definitely want to try and reproduce this incident in the future, just as U.S. military officials are investigating the incident in terms of trying to understand how this happened and how it can be prevented in the future. The Taliban can be expected to do their own probe in which they would want to be able to glean from “lessons learned.”

The point to note here is that while the tactical military skills and circumstances may be reproducible, but in the long run the frequency of such events essentially depends upon the Taliban having advanced intelligence on helicopter missions. And that’s where they will run into some problems, because ultimately it depends upon how good the Taliban penetration is of the Afghan security forces and how much U.S. military authorities are sharing with their Afghan counterparts.

Should the Taliban be able to bring down additional helicopters in the near future, then that allows them to extract concessions from the United States on the negotiating table in terms of the circumstances of withdrawal and the share of power that the Taliban will be demanding in a post-NATO Afghanistan [Source: Stratfor]

While Stratfor, a highly respected intelligence source, is looking at the implications of this incident in Afghanistan and the so called “War on Terror” I think we need to step back a bit and look at where the real threat to pur national security is coming from. It’s Mexico.

Just this week the entire 26 man police force of Mexican town resigned due to threats from the drug cartels. AFP news reported:

“An entire police force of 26 officers quit their posts in a northern Mexican town after two of their colleagues were killed in an armed attack, local authorities said Thursday.

"The officers were afraid and resigned," said Jaime Dominguez Loya, the mayor of Ascension, a town of 5,000 people in Chihuahua state home to Mexico's most violent city of Ciudad Juarez.

The mass resignation follows several attacks in recent weeks on police in the town, which lies on major drug-trafficking routes to the United States.

The mayor has now called for help from regional and federal authorities.

An entire police force resigned in 2009 from Villa Ahumada, another town in Chihuahua, following attacks allegedly led by drug gangs. Regional and federal security forces now police that town.

More than 41,000 people have died in violence blamed on Mexico's drug cartels since the end of 2006, when President Felipe Calderon deployed some 50,000 troops to tackle organized crime.”

Another report in the London Telegraph states:

“The mass resignation follows several attacks in recent weeks on police in the town, which lies on major drug-trafficking routes to the United States.

"The officers were afraid and resigned," said Jaime Dominguez Loya, the mayor of Ascension, a town of 5,000 people in Chihuahua state home to Mexico's most violent city of Ciudad Juarez.

The mayor has now called for help from regional and federal authorities.

While these two reports are similar I show them for the purpose of emphasis on the global interest in this ongoing war waging just south of our border.

In another incident the police chief of Ciudad Juarez resigned due to death threats from the drug cartels. AP reported that:

“Public Safety Secretary Roberto Orduna announced he was leaving his post only hours after gunmen killed a police officer and a jail guard and left signs on their bodies saying they had fulfilled a promise made Wednesday to slay at least one officer every 48 hours until Orduna quits.

The slayings were a grim sign that criminal gangs are determined to control the police force of the biggest Mexican border city, with a population of 1.3 million people across from El Paso, Texas.

Mayor Jose Reyes insisted earlier Friday the city would not back down.”

A retired army major, Orduna took over as chief in May after former Public Safety Secretary Guillermo Prieto resigned and fled to El Paso following the slaying of his operations director.

For Orduna's protection, the city built his bedroom at the police station so he didn't have to go home. He also travels in different vehicles when he does go out.

The report continues by stating the violence is spreading like wildfire and crossing our borders on a daily basis:

“Homeland Security officials have said they will bring in the military if the violence continues to grow and threatens the U.S. border region.

"The violence is spreading like wildfire across the Rio Grande," said George Grayson, a Mexico expert at the College of William & Mary in Virginia. "It's a major national security problem for us that is much more important than Iraq and Afghanistan."

Robert Almonte, executive director of the Texas Narcotics Officers Association, said that, while El Paso has been spared most of the violence, the escalating killings across the border in Juarez are worrisome.

I think it's jarring ... we can't even fathom those kinds of things happening here in the United States," Almonte said.

Also Friday, the U.S. State Department renewed a travel advisory warning Americans about the increased violence along the U.S.-Mexico border.”

This has been going on for years now and the criminal gangs seem to be winning the war. In October 2010 the Financial Times reported:

An entire police force in a northern Mexico community resigned on Tuesday afternoon after its station came under heavy fire by suspected drug traffickers, local authorities confirmed.

Santos Salinas Garza, mayor of Los Ramones, a rural area about 60km to the east of the city of Monterrey, confirmed that about 15 officers had fled out of terror.

They resigned because of this situation,” he told local media.

On Monday night, gunmen drove up to the police station and peppered it with automatic fire and at least two grenade launchers. Preliminary investigations found more than 1,000 bullet casings by the building.

Nobody was injured in the attack, but six police vehicles were destroyed and the white and orange police station, which authorities had inaugurated just three days before, was pockmarked with bullet holes.”

Professor Grayson states in his book Mexico: Narco-Violence and a Failed State:

“The inability of the Mexican government to appreciatively curb the rashes of sensational murders, including castrations and beheadings, has elevated the specter among pundits that Mexico might become a failed state.

Mexico is not a failed state but increasingly municipalities are governed by "dual sovereignty." Mayors and councils operate in one sphere; plaza bosses, who have their own police forces in the form of thugs, operate in another. The latter want to conduct business, historically involving drug processing, storage and distribution but increasingly including elements such as human trafficking, kidnapping and control of contraband sales, with impunity.

In many cases, the worst violence occurs close to the 2,000-mile border with the United States. Cities such as Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez virtually have been closed to foreign travellers, yet the atrocities that have made them such dangerous destinations go largely unreported—Mexican newspapers fear that their presses will be bombed; U.S. newspapers have stopped sending correspondents. Although the violence has trickled into the United States, it has yet to pour over the border. The prospect looms but remains unlikely in part because leaders of the new cartels do not want to encourage the type of direct involvement that the United States has exercised relative to Columbia.”

Just today Fox News reported:

“Authorities say they have found the bodies of four police officers and a civilian dumped in the western Mexico state of Michoacan, along with the body of an unidentified man.

The dead include two policewomen and two male officers, all from the neighboring state of Colima.

The Michoacan state prosecutors' office says all the officers were off-duty when they vanished Saturday. They were still wearing their uniforms when their bullet-ridden bodies were found Monday.

Michoacan state is home to two feuding drug cartels, La Familia and The Knights Templar.”

Mexico's government is suspending about $102 million in federal law enforcement grants to 80 percent of the country's most violent municipalities because they haven't shown progress in using the money.

National Public Safety System secretary Juan Miguel Alcantara says 172 cities and towns have failed to "demonstrate advances" in improving police equipment, training and salaries.

He says that among the problems is a failure to raise police salaries, which are so low they encourage corruption.

Alcantara told Milenio TV on Monday that Ciudad Juarez, Reynosa and Nuevo Laredo, cities along the border with Texas, are among those being cut off.

The money is given three times a year to cities with the highest kidnapping and murder rates.

In a related story Fox News reported on August 8^th that U.S. intelligence agents may now be working in Mexico:

“The Mexican government is acknowledging that U.S. intelligence agents operate in Mexican territory to help combat drug cartels, but refused to discuss a report they have been posted to a base in northern Mexico and have helped in interrogations, wiretaps and running informant networks.

The participation of U.S. agents and the designation of a new U.S. ambassador, Anthony Wayne, whose last posting was Afghanistan, has raised concerns that America may view Mexico as an Afghan-style battleground.

Mexico has already acknowledged it allows U.S. drones to conduct non-piloted surveillance flights over Mexican territory, though it says it "controls" the flights; a Mexican official is present in the drones' control room.

"In recent months, Washington's growing military, political, intelligence and police interference has been documented in many ways, as has the Mexican government's acceptance of it," the newspaper La Jornada wrote in an editorial Monday.”

Mexico is our third largest supplier of oil with 1,108 barrels per day with Canada at 2,114 and Saudi Arabia at 1,122. This is more than Libya where we are spending over a billion dollars to remove a dictator that poses no threat to the security of the United States. In Afghanistan we have spent untold billions and to date we have lost 1,731 soldiers in this 10 year war. The majority of these deaths have been in Helmand and Kandahar provinces. To date Mexico has seen over 41,000 deaths (mainly to civilians and police) in the same period. In a speech to the Center for American Progress (a George Soros funded left-wing organization) Alan Bersin, the head of the Customs and Border Patrol stated it would take 500,000 agents to seal our southern border. Whether he is correct or not is debatable.

It is time to focus on our southern neighbor and do like we did in Colombia when we “assisted” the Colombian Special Forces get Pablo Escobar. Mexico is far more dangerous and we need to use our military’s prowess, technology and intelligence to eliminate these drug cartels before hey spill over into our cities.

Centuries before William James coined the phrase, men have sought a "moral equivalent of war," some human endeavor to satisfy the jingoistic lust of man, without the carnage of war.

For some, the modern Olympic Games have served the purpose, with the Cold War rivalry for medals between the United States and the Soviet Union, and, lately, between America and China.

But the Olympic Games, most of which involve individual athletes competing against each other, have never aroused the passions of soccer, where teams serve as surrogates for the tribe or nation.

Perhaps the most intense rivalry today is between Real Madrid and F.C. Barcelona, teams representing Spain's largest cities, with the former a stand-in for nationalism and centralism and "Barca" a surrogate for Catalan separatism. During the Civil War, when Catalonia was a bastion of loyalist resistance, the head of F.C. Barcelona was executed by troops loyal to Gen. Franco.

Early this month, Etgar Keret of The New York Times attended a match between Beitar Jerusalem, which is associated with right-wing Israeli politics, and Bnei Sakhnin, the only Arab-Jewish team in Israel's first division.

Keret volunteered to a loud, visibly anxious Arab he met, "It's only a game," and got this blistering reply: "For you, maybe, because you're a Jew. But for us, soccer is the only place we're equal in this stinking country."

Throughout the game, Israeli and Arab fans shouted ethnic slurs and curses in the other's language to be sure they were understood. As Keret writes, "The bad blood between the two teams has caused many of their matches to end in rock-throwing brawls."

"Soccer is often more deeply felt than religion," says Franklin Foer, author of "How Soccer Explains the World." "I don't see tribalism ever really disappearing. People are almost hardwired to identify as groups. And group identity always runs the risk of being chauvinistic."

This brings us to Saturday’s match in the fabled Rose Bowl, with 93,000 in attendance, between the United States and Mexico.

According to Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times when the U.S. team took the field it was "smothered in boos. Its goalkeeper was bathed in a chanted obscenity. Even its national anthem was filled with the blowing of air horns and bouncing of beach balls."

How did U.S. coach Bob Bradley respond to the reception his team received in America's largest county? "Obviously the support that Mexico has on a

"It's part of something we had to deal with," said the coach.

"I have never heard more consistent loud cheering for one team here," wrote Plaschke, "from the air horns to the 'Ole' chant with each Mexico pass, all set to the soundtrack of low throbbing that began in the parking lot six hours before the game and continued long into the night."

After the 4-2 win by Mexico, for the first time, the trophy award ceremony was held in the Rose Bowl. When the losing U.S. team was introduced, the stadium rocked again with boos.

"We're not booing the country. We're booing the team," one rooter for Mexico told Plaschke. "There's a big difference."

But why would scores of thousands boo a defeated team after a game?

Why would spectators raise a ruckus during a national anthem, except to manifest contempt for the country whose anthem it was?

U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard credited several Mexican players with the win, but he was disgusted at how the officials conducted the ceremony awarding the Gold Cup title to Mexico.

They "should be ashamed of themselves," said Howard. "It was a disgrace that the entire post-match ceremony was in Spanish. You can bet your (expletive) that if we were in Mexico City, it wouldn't be all in English."

Indeed, were U.S. fans in a Mexican town to boo, jeer and chant obscenities at a Mexican team before, during and after a match, and blow horns during the Mexican national anthem, they would be lucky to get out of the stadium alive.

What does this event, in which Plaschke estimates 80,000 fans in the Rose Bowl could not control their contempt for the U.S. team and for the U.S. national anthem, tell us?

We have within our country 12-20 million illegal aliens, with Mexico the primary source, and millions of others who may be U.S. citizens but are not truly Americans. As one fan told Plaschke, "I was born in Mexico, and that is where my heart will always be." Plaschke writes:

“Most of these hostile visitors didn't live in another country. Most, in fact, were not visitors at all, many of them being U.S. residents whose lives are here but whose sporting souls remain elsewhere.

Welcome to another unveiling of that social portrait known as a U.S.-Mexico soccer match, streaked as always in deep colors of red, white, blue, green ... and gray.

"I love this country, it has given me everything that I have, and I'm proud to be part of it," said Victor Sanchez, a 37-year-old Monrovia resident wearing a Mexico jersey. "But yet, I didn't have a choice to come here, I was born in Mexico, and that is where my heart will always be."

On a street outside the Rose Bowl before the Gold Cup final, Sanchez was hanging out near a motor home that was hosting 17 folks -- 15 of whom were Mexico fans. Inside, that ratio held, there seemingly being about 80,000 Mexico fans among the announced crowd of 93,420.

This was Staples Center filled with Boston Celtics fans. This was Chavez Ravine filled with Giants jerseys. This was as weird as it was wild and, for a U.S. team that lost, 4-2, it had to be wearisome.”

Perhaps he should go back there, and let someone take his place who wants to become an American.

By 2050, according to Census figures, thanks to illegals crossing over and legalized mass immigration, the number of Hispanics in the U.S.A. will rise from today's 50 million to 135 million.

La Raza’s Infiltration of the Tucson School District

“Mexican immigration poses challenges to our policies and to our identity in a way nothing else has in the past.” — Samuel P. Huntington

In my most recent Blog I discussed the history of the Statue of Liberty and the process and effects of legal immigration. In the closing segment I touched on the effects on our culture and laws legal and illegal Mexican and Central American immigrants are having in our schools and society in general. No case better illustrates that fact and is more egregious than what is happening in the Tucson Unified School District (TUSD). And this tearing down of our traditional values, mores and education is sponsored by the University of Arizona.

Organizations such as The National Council of La Raza (NCLR) and MEChA are pushing their Aztlán ideology down the throats of the people of Tucson, Arizona and the United States. They want the southwest returned to Mexico.

According to a report issued by the Tucsonans United for Sound School Districts (tu4sd.org):

“In 1978, TUSD was placed under an order to desegregate its schools because the district was found to be “perpetuating vestiges of discrimination.” While TUSD was not the only Arizona school district in such a circumstance, it was the largest and best known. Over the past 30 years, TUSD has received more than a billion dollars to help desegregate its schools. The district has been reluctant to give up this extra funding even though the Post Unitary Status Plan (PUSP) was adopted that removed the district from the original order.

On Dec. 18, 2009, the court approved the Post Unitary Status Plan as adopted by the Governing Board of TUSD on July 30, 2009. The court acknowledged that the district would operate for the advocacy and equal advantage of every child, much to the surprise of many community members dedicated to closing the vast achievement gaps that are ignored or swept under the proverbial rug by the district. Federal oversight of the operation of the Tucson Unified School District has ended.

One requirement of the PUSP was the inclusion of ethnic studies programs for four groups of students: African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Native-Americans, and Asian Americans. Ethnic Studies is comprised of all four departments. Each group has a separate program and they are all different. The African American Studies, Native-Americans Studies, and Pan Asian Americans, offer comprehensive services to their target students, including mentoring, tutoring, and counseling services. Unlike the holistic services offered to other minority groups, the Mexican American/Raza Studies department only offers classes to their students. The classes in this program also have a specific social justice, critical race theory, focus that was not dictated by the PUSP. The fear of further legal action by ethnic advocacy groups has been a factor in the continuation of a program that has given rise to as many questions as the Raza Studies Program has.”

This program has been specifically designed for the Tucson Unified School District's Mexican-American Studies Problem by the University of Arizona's Mexican-American Studies Program:

“America saw the results of teaching a racist curriculum to an impressionable group of kids and many may be wondering, "what is going on down there?" I spend nearly 8 minutes trying to answer that question, and honestly, it's not nearly enough time. Many thanx [sic] to the fine folks with Tucsonans United for Sound Districts (TU4SD.com) for all of the information. Loretta Hunnicutt (who appeared on the Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck Show), her husband John and long-time educator Richard Kronberg have decided to stand for what is right even though they are paying a high personal price.

Watch the video and please excuse my voice. I've been coughing all week and it's fading. Still, I hope the story gives you a better idea of what La Raza Studies is all about at TUSD.”

“As for the University of Arizona Professor that is apparently very much involved in the alleged indoctrination of students. There is a much larger story there. From what I know at this time, it sounds like Professor Roberto Rodriguez, professor of Mexican-American Studies at the University of Arizona, is hoping to export Tucson's version of Mexican-American Studies to the rest of the country. Hopefully, if time allows, I can do a story of how Social Justice is being taught overtly and covertly to America's future teachers and administrators at the U of A and across the country.”

The Tucson Unified School District superintendent in the middle of a push to have a radical Mexican-American studies class changed to an elective, has now backed down from his position, even going as far as to issue an apology. The change follows two wild demonstrations at consecutive school board meetings, one in which students chained themselves to desks, and another in which the riot police were called in.

According to a May 19^th report on The Blaze.com:

“Superintendent John Pedicone told local station KOLD-TV that he sent a letter to UNIDOS — the radical student group opposing the change — and the Mexican American Studies Community Advisory Board saying he has now advised the TUSD governing board to “table and not consider the resolution to make Mexican American Studies an elective.” (Quote is not Pedicone’s, but rather KOLD’s.)

Also contained in at least one of the letters is a promise that he won’t recommend charges against those who were arrested during the rowdy protests.

“We simply have to kind of bring that level of anxiety down to where we can begin to talk reasonably about this program, which we, which I think the district has said from the very beginning it supports,” Pedicone told KOLD. He later added: “I can’t speak for individual board members or others, but from my perspective it’s more important to bring the tone to a level where we can have a conversation and begin to have levels of understanding for the sake of the district. That’s really my responsibility.”

This so called ethnic studies program is nothing but a racist piece of crap promoted by the NCLR and MEChA. In my opinion it borders on teaching treason against the United States of America in our public schools. Currently, a class that teaches history from a Mexican-American perspective is allowed to substitute for the required U.S. history class. But the school superintendent also wants to reevaluate the entire program (and possibly get rid of the class), “in part because it advocates the overthrow of the U.S. government.”

Even the Communists of the 30s, 40s and 50s were not this brazen: In the findings of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction the Mexican-American ethnic studies program advocates:

1. Promote the overthrow of the United States Government
2. Promote resentment toward a race or class of people
3. Are designed primarily for pupils of a particular ethnic group
4. Advocate ethnic solidarity instead of the treatment of pupils as individuals.

As the Tucson Independent Daily reported just weeks after writing an op-ed for their paper decrying the ethnic studies program and its curriculum and goals he reversed himself by writing a letter to the Mexican American Studies Committee that he would table any recommended changes in the program:

“Just weeks ago John Pedicone, Superintendent of Tucson Unified School District addressed his concerns regarding the adult manipulation of the young people who stormed the TUSD Boardroom and chained themselves to Board members’ chairs. In an opinion piece for the Arizona Daily Star, he wrote, “Some would have you believe this action was taken by a group of students who just made a plan to express their dissent. That is not accurate. It is clear adults both helped to plan and influence the outcome of that night.”

In a sudden and unilateral move, Pedicone wrote letters of apology for his “role in the situation in which we find ourselves,” to those students and some of the adults who are believed to have manipulated the students. In separate letters to the self-appointed and unofficial Mexican American Advisory Board and the group calling themselves UNIDOS, made up of many non-TUSD students, Pedicone misrepresented the Board’s position and appeared to make promises he is not in the position to make.

His claim in these letters that, “The State Superintendent of Public Instruction will be making a decision about whether the program is considered illegal under ARS 15-112 and any action related to this program should wait for that decision. This has been the Governing Board’s position from the beginning and it is with regret that any subsequent action resulted in the current situation,” are contrary to all evidence. In fact, it was a resolution to make the MAS classes electives that led to the manipulation of the protesting students in the first place. They acted to prevent a vote by the Board for the change of status.

Pedicone writes, "Further, TUSD has no intention of pressing charges against any of the individuals cited at either the April 26 or May 3 meetings." However, the Board has not voted on the issue to press charges or not.”

In his letter to the student group UNIDOS, he praises the students’ input as “valuable” and requests a meeting to establish “open dialogue.”

But as the Tucson Independent Daily points out, Pedicone’s sudden change-of-heart is curious, considering that just over two weeks ago he wrote an op-ed in the Arizona Star outraged over the protests and saying the students were being “exploited” and used as “pawns:”

“My immediate concern focuses on the events that led up to the decision on the part of a number of adults and students who engaged in an action that interfered with the operation of government.

The manner in which it occurred was, to many people inside and outside of the organization, shocking and abhorrent.

Some would have you believe this action was taken by a group of students who just made a plan to express their dissent. That is not accurate.

It is clear adults both helped to plan and influence the outcome of that night.

If you take a moment to examine the resolution by the student group, Unidos, you will see the demands include issues involving the Mexican-American Ethnic Studies program, the repeal of state laws, school closures and turnaround schools, United Nations human rights and the removal of state governmental officials.

In my opinion, students have been led to believe their basic rights to an honest discussion of their heritage are at risk. Students have been convinced the school district is attempting to eliminate a program that simply tells the truth and this action is associated with concerns about immigration and a broad range of issues at the state and federal levels.

Students have been exploited and are being used as pawns to serve a political agenda that threatens this district and our community. Just as high school and university students led the charge to the Governing Board dais on Tuesday, they are being used to lead the charge for those who wish to make this a civil rights issue.”

This issue is ripping the Tucson community apart. In typical Saul Alinsky and Cloward & Piven strategy it is creating chaos and distrust of the public education system. Just imagine had we had a German-American ethnic studies program in our schools during WWII. What would it have taught? Perhaps the curriculum would have included the superiority of the Aryan Race or the reestablishment of great Germany including the Rhineland, Sudeten Land and Austria. Another class topic might have been how to identify the Jew by the shape of the skull. As factious as this may sound it is really no different than the critical race theory being taught in the TUSD’s Mexican Studies program.

The Critical Race Theory (CRT) is an intellectual and politically committed movement in American legal scholarship that studies race, racism and power. Originating in American law schools, critical race theory has made its way into ethnic studies, political science and education. Its premise is that everything is predicated on race and not the individual. As far as I am concerned, after reading the arguments put forth by the proponents CRT it is just another way of expressing the Nazis racial policies against the Jews and so called “untermensch” like the Poles, Slavs and Russians, which was based on the liberal, progressive theory of eugenics. In short it is crap!

Once you begin defining people by the racial or ethnic group they belong to you are leading them down to road to a victim mentality. Once this happens they are lost as they will always blame someone or something for their unhappy state of life. This is what is being taught in our government schools today.

The project mission statement for the TUSD Social Justice Education Project reads:

“What makes America great?. Is it education, culture, feeling of a home, suffering, struggling, fictitious manufactured plans by forefathers, immigrants, advantages to gringos, diversity, lying, wealth, activism, depression, disease, action, greed, is America great?” ~TUSD Social Justice Education Project, “Decolonize and Reclaim

The purpose of a nation allowing immigration is for those immigrants to become loyal, productive citizens of that nation. They should become part of the existing national culture not form separate enclaves retaining their ethnic culture while reaping the benefits of the society they have immigrated to. They should learn that nation’s history and language. How can a Mexican-American understand the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence if they cannot read, write or speak English?

If this Arizona ethnic studies program was a local issue we might not be as concerned. But it is sweeping across the nation as other school districts are kowtowing to the bone-headed academics that are promoting this junk. The motto that appears our coins, currency and the Great Seal of the United States is; E Pluribus Unum (out of many one), not E Unum Pluribus.

A Single North America?

Talk of efforts to create a North American Union has been derided by the elite — politicians, talking heads and the mainstream media — as conspiracy-theory nuttery. But a leaked United States diplomatic cable proves the leaders of the U.S., Canada and Mexico have been working to create a borderless North America, similar to the European Union, since at least 2005.

The cable, leaked by WikiLeaks and reported on by the Canadian National Post, said: “An incremental and pragmatic package of tasks for a new North American Initiative (NAI) will likely gain the most support among Canadian policymakers. The economic payoff of the prospective North American initiative … is available, but its size and timing are unpredictable, so it should not be oversold.”

In the cable, U.S. diplomats focused on a number of key areas to move forward with continental integration, including a possible common currency, labor markets, international trade and the borders of the three countries, according to the article.

Diplomats were negotiating how to handle professional-licensing laws and work-permit systems between the three countries, which would make it easier for people to move from one country to the other.

The Administration of President Barack Obama is currently in discussions with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper about creating the first step of the process by laying the groundwork for a stronger perimeter-security arrangement, intelligence sharing and trade deals, the paper reported.

Globalists pushing for a one-world government are taking an incremental approach to achieve their goal by combining countries into larger entities. They believe this will make it easier to combine larger regions into a single whole later on.

Questions about the possibility of a union of the countries have been met with disdain and denials by Administrations past and present. But these cables prove they were lying while trying to cover up the fact that they were negotiating away America in secret.

The National Post article states:

“The details are currently being hashed out by officials from both countries. The proposed deal aims to improve the flow of cross-border traffic and increase security against terrorist threats.

Opposition parties have expressed a certain wariness over the lack of transparency of the talks and say they worry Harper will be too willing to make concessions to the U.S. over security issues, in order to gain an advantage in cross-border trade.

In the cable, U.S. diplomats focused on a number of key areas to move forward with continental integration, including a possible common currency, labour markets, international trade and the borders of the three countries.

The cable said Canadian economists were split on whether a fixed exchange rate, or a move to adopt the U.S. greenback, would benefit this country.

The document states Canadian economists point to labour markets as one of the areas which could have the greatest benefit for all three countries.

“They advocate freeing up professional licensing laws, and developing a quick, simple, low-cost work permit system, at least for U.S. and Canadian citizens,” the cable said.

It goes on to say North America would be well served by implementing a single, continent wide, tariff or a customs union arrangement.

The proposed customs union would eliminate the North American Free Trade Agreement’s “restrictive” rules of origin.

“NAFTA’s (rules of origin) are so restrictive that importers often prefer to pay the tariff rather than try to prove North American origin,” the cable said.

The cable concludes with a caveat: “There is little basis on which to estimate the size of the ‘upside’ gains from an integration initiative concentrating on non-tariff barriers of the kind contained in NAI. For this reason we cannot make the claims about how large the benefits might be on a national or continental scale.”

On February 8, 2011 the Toronto Star reported in an article entitled, Canada kept U.S. border talks under wraps:

“The federal government deliberately kept negotiations on a border deal with Washington secret while it planned ways to massage public opinion in favour of the pact, according to a confidential communications strategy.

The 14-page public relations document recommended that talks keep a “low public profile” in the months leading up to the announcement by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama. At the same time, the government would secretly engage “stakeholders” — interested parties such as big business groups and others — in a way that respected “the confidentiality of the announcement.”

In advance, the government departments involved — including industry, foreign affairs, international trade and citizenship and immigration — were to “align supportive stakeholders to speak positively about the announcement,” according to the strategy prepared by Public Safety Minister Vic Toews’ officials.

On Friday, Harper and Obama signed off on a plan that for the first time envisions throwing up a single security ring around the perimeter of Canada and the U.S. The wide-ranging blueprint calls for increased cooperation between the two countries’ police, border and intelligence agencies; an integrated Canada-U.S. exit-entry system using high-tech identification techniques and more sharing of information about Canadians with U.S. authorities.

At least three major business organizations — the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and the Canadian Trucking Alliance — quickly issued statements praising the framework agreement Friday.”

"To preserve and extend the benefits our close relationship has helped bring to Americans and Canadians alike, we intend to pursue a perimeter approach to security, working together within, at, and away from the borders of our two countries to enhance our security and accelerate the legitimate flow of people, goods, and services between our two countries," the declaration announced in the preamble.

The decision to declare a continental perimeter for the United States and Canada, designed to effectively combine the two nations in mutual national security and economic efforts, affirms the Obama administration's intent to implement the key objectives of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North American in a way that avoids the type of public scrutiny and criticism that dogged President George W. Bush after he openly declared his plans with the SPP.

Way back in June 2006 World Net Daily reported:

“Despite having no authorization from Congress, the Bush administration has launched extensive working-group activity to implement a trilateral agreement with Mexico and Canada.

The membership of the working groups has not been published, nor has their work product been disclosed, despite two years of massive effort within the executive branches of the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

The groups, working under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) office in the Department of Commerce, are to implement the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP, signed by President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, on March 23, 2005.

The trilateral agreement, signed as a joint declaration not submitted to Congress for review, led to the creation of the SPP office within the Department of Commerce.

The SPP report to the heads of state of the U.S., Mexico and Canada, -- released June 27, 2005, -- lists some 20 different working groups spanning a wide variety of issues ranging from e-commerce, to aviation policy, to borders and immigration, involving the activity of multiple U.S. government agencies.

The working groups have produced a number of memorandums of understanding and trilateral declarations of agreement.

The Canadian government and the Mexican government each have SPP offices comparable to the U.S. office.

Geri Word, who heads the SPP office within the NAFTA office of the U.S. Department of Commerce affirmed to WND last Friday in a telephone interview that the membership of the working groups, as well as their work products, have not been published anywhere, including on the Internet.”

Many SPP working groups appear to be working toward achieving specific objectives as defined by a May 2005 Council on Foreign Relations task force report, which presented a blueprint for expanding the SPP agreement into a North American Union that would merge the U.S., Canada and Mexico into a new governmental form.

I have posted two video clips from Lou Dobbs when he was with CNN. What is interesting are the comments by Democrat politicians criticizing the SPP agreement and George Bush. Now that Obama has expanded on Bush’s initial agreement by signing a new and expanded agreement with Prime Minister Stephen Harper there seems to be no criticism from the left.

While trade agreements are worthy things like all international agreements and treaties they should be debated and approved by the people through their elected representatives — the Congress.

The European Union began as the European Economic Union with the goal of stabilizing trade and tariffs between the parties of the agreement. As Margaret Thatcher once said it would allow a citizen of the UK to buy a bottle of wine in France and bring it home without paying a tariff.

Over the years the EEC morphed into the EU which now regulates every aspect of life within the member states. They regulates everything from he size and shape of a banana to the size of a tractor seat. With the exception of the UK they have their own currency, the Euro, and they have their own courts that can overrule decisions of national courts. They have a parliament seated in Strasbourg France and a giant bureaucracy headquartered in Luxembourg. All of this came about with the Europeans desire to take a vacation in another country and bring back a bottle of wine or a slice of cheese.

In a July 26, 2010 opinion piece by Phil Boehmke in American Thinker he states:

“This morning our friends in Great Britain awoke to this frightening headline in the UK Daily Mail, "European police to spy on Britons: Now ministers hand over Big Brother powers to foreign officers." The European Union which has been so wildly successful in economic matters is implementing two new law enforcement policies which will further weaken the sacred and time honored protections of national sovereignty.

The new powers are known as the European Investigation Order (EIO), which is intended as a partner to the highly controversial European Arrest Warrant (EAW).

One of the major concerns about the EAW, to which Britain is signed up, is that it has been used to investigate the most minor misdemeanors, such as "theft of a dessert" in a Polish restaurant.

Now member states want to make it easier to gather evidence on another's soil. The proposal requires an ‘opt in', which means Britain could sit back and play no part in the new regime.”

While we debate our economy, the three wars we are fighting and Weiner’s Weiner there are forces within our government combining with the Canadians and Mexicans to bring the NAU to fruition and make it something much more than an agreement for truckers. Agreements like this have a history of morphing into something far different than their original intent. Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians and Independents should be very cautious in their support for the NAU.

This is just another attempt by the “one-worlders” like George Soros and his Open Society Institute and Open Borders Society to force into a global society. The NAU will eventually impact every aspect of lives and national economy. It will control the way we do business, our court decisions, our laws, our environmental policies, our immigration policies, and just about everything we do. It will absolutely destroy the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution by the power of treaties.
